Morgan starred alongside other actors in the film that provides information Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention and awareness. Part of the money went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is the leader of numerous other fundraising initiatives for the cause and also appeared in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. She sits member of the Board of Governors of APLA and the Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop's former deputy surgeon general requested her occasionally to sub for him during AIDS awareness activities. Additionally, she was host of a AIDS Awareness Special hosted by Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS during Nightline. Morgan has been nominated by the Emmys to be a part of Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. The spring, she starred alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Also, it featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The second part of the film took her to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast in the role of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in the production of Harmony Gold. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also in the show. Morgan played a part in the thriller of psychological suspense which was produced exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the biggest ratings in the network's history.
